If you’ve ever wanted to tell someone where to go, why not be a kiosk volunteer for the Chamber?
Every weekend from September through April, visitors to our beaches stop by the Chamber’s Information Booth, a kiosk located at 107th Avenue and Gulf Blvd. They’re looking for directions in getting around, as well as for suggestions about where to stay, and how best to enjoy our island paradise.
And if you help the Chamber by taking a 3-hour weekend shift, from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, it will be your business name they’ll get to know first, and tell their friends about!
“This is the perfect volunteer gig for our member businesses,” says Chamber president Missy H. Hahn. “It only requires a 3-hour commitment, and we can accommodate weekly or monthly schedules. It makes a local business the first point of contact for visitors seeking information about our beach communities. It encourages members to brag about our beaches and share their favorite things about our area. And it’s one more way to introduce their own businesses to our visitors, without adding to their marketing budgets!”
You’ll be surrounded by colorful brochures provided by our members and area attractions, so you’ll never run out of ways to help our visitors. You’ll be in the heart of Treasure Island, just steps from the Gulf. You’ll help set the tone for hundreds of visitors’ vacation memories.
If you like greeting the public and providing helpful information on everything from finding the best seafood restaurant or quirky beach business, to scheduling boating excursions, to giving directions to help our visitors get around, then this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
Contact the Chamber at 727-360-4121 to volunteer!
