We had a great 2019, and we’re looking ahead to a great 2020!
First, we settled into our new office at 12601 Gulf Blvd., just south of the John’s Pass Bridge. This gives us a more visible location for visitors, residents, and our member businesses alike, and even gave us a few extra offices that we can rent out! Our office is open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.
We kept our kiosk open, and that Welcome and Information Center is open Friday through Monday, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. It’s located at 113 – ½ on 107th Avenue.
Big news for our office staff was the installation of a member management system through ChamberMaster. Now, visitors to our website can find our members using a variety of keywords. Members can manage their own online profiles, and even process payments for everything from annual dues to tickets to all our events. If you haven’t logged in using your member password, you’ll be surprised at all our new features!
We continued to build on our successful events like the Treasure Island Friday Morning Market, Mayors’ Prayer Meeting, our Health Fair and Trade Show, the fun and glitzy Casino Night, and our Benefit Golf Tournament.
We also saw our membership grow, and we look forward to helping all our members make stronger connections throughout the year.
We staged our first Merry Beach Market that led right into the 53rd Annual Madeira Beach Festival of Lights Boat Parade.
Our Chamber continues to help promote our communities’ events, like the annual John’s Pass Seafood and Music Festival, the Miracle by the Bay events, Sanding Ovations Master Cup Sand sculpting Competition, the Veterans Fall Fly Kite Competition, and more.
Our current Board chairman Bill Karns will turn the gavel over to incoming chairman Ken Hautmann on Thursday, January 23, and we’ll welcome Steve Hayes , the newly-installed president of our partner Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, as our keynote speaker.
It’s going to be a great start to our New Year!
