TREASURE ISLAND–The Treasure Islettes, the women’s club of Treasure Island, held its twelfth annual fashion show and luncheon on Saturday, March 17, at The Club at Treasure Island. More than 240 women attended and enjoyed watching club members model spring fashions courtesy of Dillard’s Department Store. Sharen’s Flowers and Gifts provided the centerpieces in a St. Patrick’s Day theme.
President Tony Hawkins was delighted with the wonderful turnout and told the audience that without their help the Treasure Islettes would not be able to support so many worthy causes in the community. She stated that since 1955 the Islettes have donated over $1,000,000 to the community.
B.J. Flowers chaired the event. Guests enjoyed raffles and a silent auction that included generous donations by local businesses.
The Islettes meet the fourth Monday at 7 pm of each month from September to May at the Treasure Island Community Center. The Islettes welcome all women who have an interest in volunteerism for more information contact the Treasure Islettes by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Elaine at 727-363-6230.
